help setting up outlook

I am trying to set up outlook to send and receive mail. I
seem to be doing something wrong. Can anyone help with
getting it set up? thanks

i am using outlook 2000.
i don't know what to put in on the pop3 line, or the smtp
line.
i think i am not wording it right or something.

You need to get these settings from your ISP. Most major ISPs will post the
POP3 and SMTP settings on their help pages as they probably get a lot of
calls from folks asking for this information. I know that Comcast, ATT
Broadband, AT&T Worldnet, SBC global, Yahoo, etc. will post this information
prominently on their websites. You may have to use the search function to
find it on your ISP's website.
