How can I change file directories to list most recent files 1st?

We have massive files saved to our shared directories and have to scroll
through all of them to get to the most recent, active files. Anyone know how
to reverse those so the most recent come up at the beginning of the list?

If the File > Open dialog isn't showing the Details view, right-click a
blank space in the file-list window and choose View > Details. Then click
the column header "Date Modified" to sort by date. If that makes the dates
appear in ascending order (earliest first), then click the column header
again to reverse the order.

Your selection should stick until you manually change it.
