How can I clear the "Work" feature of unwanted files

In word I have the "Work" menu displayed and have added files to this. I now
need to remove some of the but cannot find out how. Please help

Dave,

Use CTRL+ALT+-, your cursor will change to bold dash. Use this to delete
files on the work menu.
