How can I save a PowerPoint Photo

I need to save 1 or more pictures to use on a project but powerpoint will not
let me "save as" when I click on the picture I want to save. How can I do
this?

Which version of PowerPoint are you using? When you right click on the
picture do you not get the option to Save Picture As...?

I'm using Windows 2003 PowerPoint. It doesn't have the selection Save As or
anything else that will let me save or copy.

Yes, I can clilck on the picture as it fills the screen. It does bring up a
short menu when I right click but there isn't any selection that will allow
me to save, save as or copy. In the past when I needed one of these pictures
from a powerpoint slide show, I had to use a print screen program, print it,
then scan it and save it. Then I lost most of the quality. I want to save
it right from PowerPoint.

Yes, I can clilck on the picture as it fills the screen.

But can you actually *select* the picture? Do you get white handles on the
edge of the picture when you click on it? Sounds as if it might be embedded
in the slide background, and not on the slide itself -- which means you're
not actually selecting it.

At any rate, delete everything but the picture from the slide and choose
File|Save As. Select an image type from the "save as type" drop-down box in
the Save As dialog. Click Save.

Are you trying to save the picture while you are in slide show mode? That is
the indication I get from reading the thread. To save the picture, you must
be in the edit mode and not in the slide show mode.
