How can I track 5 projects at the same time on the same screen

I am using the Projects 2003 Eval. version and am trying to track several
projects on the same screen. We would like to be able to view all projects
at the same time in a chart of some sorts.

This may be possible but you need to do some prep first.
Do to where they sell those Easy Buttons and pick up one. Put in reach of
your key board, you're going to need it.
Seriously try to merge all the projects together. Insert>Insert Project.
This will bring all projects into one file and you can set up filters. Hope
this and the easy button helps. Good Luck!

Kat. I am new to Project so hopefully I understood your question. Question,
open up more than one project and track at a time. Remember that the project
in deep blue is the active project and only one can be active at a time.
first place eact project you want to track in your tray by opening project
click on the first project, open project again click on the next project and
so on until you have all the project in your system tray.
When you are finished opening the projects you want to track, click window
in project, then click (tile) and you have some options as to how you would
like to look at the information eithor tiled Horzional or Vertical. Good Luck

As too the question of charting 5 projects. Export the information you want
charted to Excel, create your graphs there using the Graph / Chart wizard for
each project and then save, you then contunue to export each of the five
projects to be graphed, when you complet the graphing of each, you can then
create a graph where all five graphs are ploted into a single graph-- The
Excel help files can be of assistance for inport and setup, and the wizards
are pretty streight foward as well.
Happy charting.
I do not have the same project software software so I don't know the ability
of your software to do the charting of five projects within your software.

Hi Kathy,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

By far the best way is to set up a resource pool. Then a master file and
insert the projects into it. You might like to have a look at my series on
Microsoft Project in the TechTrax ezine, particularly #17 & 18 on Multiple
Projects, at this site: http://tinyurl.com/2xbhc or this:

(Perhaps you'd care to rate the articles before leaving the site, :)
Thanks.)

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
