how do i add a live excel doc. to my calendar?

I am trying to attach an Excel file to a shared calendar that can be edited
by others and updated within the calendar.

I presume you're using Exchange? Exchange is a lousy file server. I wouldn't
expect this to work reliably.

Insert a Hyperlink (Insert | File | drop down arrow as a Hyperlink) in a
meeting on that Calendar?

Where is the hyperlink? I did Insert l File but then there is no drop down
arrow to hyperlink.
