how do I convert a .docx file to .jpeg

The easiest way is to copy the flag to the clipboard, paste into a graphics
program--such as Windows Paint--and then save it in the desired format.

I drew a flag in msword 2007 and need to send it in a jpeg format. Thank you

Herb's suggestion will work.

Or copy/paste to PowerPoint then choose File, Save As and pick JPG.

Or Publisher. :)

Hey then .. PPT doesn't give you any choice as to the resolution of the
exported JPG. It's at a fixed DPI. As a workaround, you can paste the
graphic onto a larger page and scale it up before exporting.

But there's a reg setting that you can change to increase the
resolution. Is there anything similar for Publisher, d'ya know?

Yes, since Pub 2003. Not as a registry setting tho. It's under the options
available when you save it as a graphic. You can select Web (96 dpi),
Standard printing (150 dpi) or High quality printing or commercial press
(300 dpi).

In that case, I'd go with Pub if it's available instead of PPT.

No, the copied image can be pasted into Picture Manager and saved as
/exported to a variety of image types.

Start by copying an image to the Clipboard(Select and Copy or
Alt-Printscreen). Open Picture Manager, then Edit, Paste (or R-click,
Paste) and you will have a "New Picture.bmp" file there. Select that
file and click File, Export, and pick the Options that suit the situation.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. If I have a graphic, I usually use SnagIt but this stuff is
good to know too. :)
