How do I download and transfer e-mail from my current laptop?

(2001) onto a new laptop. How do I download and transfer these files?

Where are you trying to transfer the data to? Have you tried using the File
& Settings transfer wizard or the Vista equivalent?

I thought that the Vista equivalent (WET) corrupted Outlook data and
profiles.....at least that's what usually said on here....

Hmmm, I've used it a few times and it seemed to work dandy. I used it
recently to port my son's data from an aging XP desktop to a new laptop
(OL2003->OL2007) and it worked swimmingly. Maybe I'm blessed

But you know enough to resolve any profile issues. A lot of people don't.

Outlook-Fu I'd have mentioned that
