How do I filter my calendar and bar information?

N

Noreen

I have managed to create a calendar for the one resource I wish to view along
with the tasks duration. My problem is trying to get all 3 of my needed
criteria listed in the bar. I want to be able to list the task name,
duration and resource name so all of the information. As I stated, I have
been successful in seeing the task name and duration.

I've chosen fomat/bar styles/ text field - name, duration, resource group.
I have listed these fields for all of the task types needed.

Hi Noreen,

What specific problem are you having?

In quick testing, I was able to format the Calendar View critical and
non-critical bars to show Task Name, Duration, and Resource Group by
following the steps you outlined : Format >Bar Styles.

What version of project are you using?

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Noreen,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

In the Bar Styles dialog, you can add other fields by placing a comma after
Duration and then typing in "Resource Names" (without the quotes), so that
all three of the fields are showing.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Thank you Julie and Mike for responding. It was my error in that I don't
have a Resource Group as such so there wasn't any information to display. I
had been trying to type in Resource Name (minus the 's') and was getting an
error. I've got it now! Why I hadn't seen it in the drop down list
previously is beyond me.
