How do I get Outlook 2003 to save my pop settings?

Anytime I re-start my computer, my incoming server changes from
"pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com" to "localhost" and my username adds
"/pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com" at the end. Changing these back doesn't help. I
have to delete the email account and add it again to begin receiving emails.
It's not saving the defaults. Help???

Sounds like you may have an anti-virus program that's scanning incoming mail
and it's changing those settings to suit its needs. Try turning off incoming
mail scanning and see if that changes anything

That did the trick, but don't I have to worry about nasty emails coming in
without the email scanner doing it's thing???
