How do I keep the words from moving onto another page during cha.

I have written a book and would like to know how I can keep the beginning of
the chapters where they are. . .lock the page in place so it will not scroll
back and forth.

Set the paragraph style parameter of the Chapter title style to 'page break
before'. It will then always be on a new page.
