It does allow you to control times as well as dates - just go to the Options
menu, View tab, and select a date format that includes the time. All of
Project's date fields are actually date/time fields and you can enter a date
plus time everywhere you can enter just a date. What does take a little
more doing is figuring a way to insure a task always begins at the start of
the workday but it can be done without too much trouble. Normally if we
have two tasks in sequence linked FS, the successor task starts on the first
working minute after the predecessor ends. If our work hours are 8 to 5 and
Task 1 lasts one day, going 8 to 5, the second task will begin at 8am the
next day, the first work minute it can. But if our first task is only a
half day task, the successor would begin at 1pm on the first day. You can
make it move to start at 8 the next morning but it does take a workaround to
do it. It does it that way because 99 times out of 100, you wouldn't want to
waste that 1st afternoon.
