how do I make clip art visible?

Jeff

Sir/Madam:

In Word on my computer clip art is shown as empty boxes but the images are
there because they show up in print view and print ok. On another computer
the images show on the screen. No one seems to be able to tell me what
setting I need to change on my computer to make the images visible (or why
they are not visible on my computer).

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Anne!
I have the same problem and I went through that link and it still does not
answer my questions. My graphics card is fine, I see pics etc in Publisher
and any other program I use, but Word is the problem.I am unable to
manipulate any graphic or picture, although it shows the "box" there. I
cannot move it, wrap or anything when I go into format, the options are
grayed. But if I print the page, the graphic shows there. Further help?? Thanks

Have you made sure that "Picture placeholders" is not checked on the View
tab of Tools | Options?

I'm sorry, Treeshaker, all I'm aware of that cause the problem are in the
article. Did you do everything mentioned in the article? Make sure you check
the links in the article as well.

Hello Treeshaker,

I did what both Anne and Suzanne said do (Many thanks to both of you) and it
seemed to fix my problem. Specifically I did:
go to Control Panel Display Settings Advanced Troubleshoot, and lowered the
acceleration.
This worked for me, but I have no clue what the ramifications of lowering
the acceleration!
Sorry,
Jeff
