How do I move Mail from Computer

I am trying to find a way to move .pst files from my
computer to another media for storage. I cannot find a
way ANYWHERE. I would appreciate any help you can give
me.
I would like to make a backup of these files and clean
them off of my hard drive. Is this possible??
