How do I move "My Documents" from C: to D:?

I would like to move just My Documents from C drive to D drive. I am worried
that this will have an affect on how things operate and do not want to muck
anything up . Could some please tell me how to do it safely? The reason I
want to move it is so that when I do a back up I just have to copy all of D
drive with no hassles ( I hope).
