How do I open email with PPS extension in Office 2003

Have received several emails (from trusted sources) with pps. ext. Running
office 2003 and cannot open these emails. It goes directely to a box that
wants me to choose the File Conversion. Tried many and nothing works. I
also have Outlook as my email . Need help
