Works word processor (.wps) files have changed format with
successive versions of Works, although they all have a .wps
filename extension. If a .wps converter appropriate to your
version of Works is installed into Word 2003, then Word 2003 will
be able to open your .wps files. Some converters are included on
your Office 2003 CD, and others are available for download from
the internet.

Works spreadsheet, database, and calendar files are generally
unsupported in Office 2003. If your old computer still has
Works, then you can use it to save your Works files to formats
that Excel, Access, and Outlook can open. See
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/271080/en-us "Works: Sharing
Works files with other programs" for more information.
