How do I set the formatting for form fields?

I don't have much experience in using forms and would like to set the
formatting for all the fields the same at the overall formating but when I
try to type in the field the formatting is too large and distorts the
remaining form.
I would appreciate basic instructions as I did not understand the shortened
instructions given to other users.

I presume you are using Word? If so, how did you set the formatting?
Did you use styles for formatting? You said the formatting is too
large, what font/size is displayed in the fields? What shortened
instructions are you referring to? Do you have a link or instructions
for where you found it??
