How do I speed up word?

My machine has slowed dow tothe point that in Word I out type the screenand
have to wait for the text to catch up.

What can I do to correct this?

Hi Rick,

Anything special about the doc?
A frequent cause are tables that span several (many) pages.
Turning off AutoFit can help a little bit, but splitting the large table in
several smaller ones really helps a great deal.
