how do I take back an email that I sent

L

Lou

I know it can be done, and I am looking through help but I
just can't seem to find the right topic.

I am using outlook, and I want to take back an email that
I sent, I know it can be done if the receipiant hasn't
opened the email yet.

Hopefully it wasn't anything potentially career threatening. You can try to
retrieve it by going to Sent Items, opening the message you sent, then
clicking "Recall this Message."

It sometimes even works.

open the message, actions, recall message

.
I open the message from the sent message folder, and go
to actions, but I don't see recall message????
Do I have to turn on or enable an option somewhere?

I have even tried sending myself a message to another
account that I know hasn't been opened...and nothing I
don't see the option.
