How do I transfer Excel files into Outlook

I have a large number of names, phone numbers, email addresses and other
information that I have downloaded onto Excel. I want to transfer this
information to Outlook 2003. I first tried Import Export and the system
prompted me to go back to set up and add it. I tried that and ran into all
kinds of issues. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this.
