How do you copy and paste into an *existing* text box in Publisher

In Publisher 2003, I can't seem to copy and paste into an existing text
box--or even drag text into another text box. Instead, it creates a new text
box. Very annoying. Paste Special won't work either--the choices are only to
paste into a new table or a new text box. Help! I can't believe that there's
no way around this! Thanks!

If you are just clicking in the text box and do a copy and
paste the box will be pasted. If you select only the text
(Ctrl+A) copy (Ctrl+C) and then click in the text box that
you want to place the test, and paste (Ctrl+V).

Edit > Paste Special > Unformatted Text is the way to do this. Be sure you
are only pasting text. If there are objects in your clipboard and it is not
giving you the Unformatted Text option under Edit > Paste Special, then
paste into Notepad before pasting into Publisher to strip formatting and
objects.
