How do you remove locked field in a document?

I am trying to merge a letter however I keep getting a message that the
letter cannot be merged because of a locked field and when I switch back to
my main document. I see the lock and an anchor. How do I remove those?

To unlock a field, you can hit CTRL+SHIFT+F11 (Ctrl + F11 locks a
field).

However, the lock icon and anchor may be content anchors for frames or
