Windows menu - split
Select bottom pane by clicking on it somewhere
From view menu select "Task Usage"
set the timescale to the granularity you want to work on.
Enter the work in the appropriate cells.

Doing this with each split is going to become tiresome I think.
But at least now you know how you can do it.

Thank you Jack for the advise.
I tried it. I am still not able to assign my resouce to split task. Please
note that the split tasks are all in one row and if I assign two resources
for two split tasks, it is not showing that which resource is belong to which
task. That is all I am looking for
Please advise

I think you are confused about what a split task is. A split task is ONE
task with a break in the middle of it. Do not use it as a substitute for two
tasks.

Still, if you must persist, assign both resources to the task (select the
task and assign the resource), and then go to the task usage view at the
bottom and edit the work on a day by day basis on the bottom. There will be
one line for each resource. You can set the work there.

Thank you Jack for the advice,
I have an error message when try to use the "task usage". The error is as
follows:
"The view or report cannot be displayed because the table 'Usage" on which
it is based has been deleted. I tried to follow the recommendation and I was
able to restore it.
Please advise
