how to convert the word 3.x and 4.x

hi,
i have recently trying to open old word file on my word 2003 pc, but it
doesn't work, the coding is kind of mess up, showing some and not showing
some. PS when i try to select the version of the word, there's only word 6.0
and 7.0 something like that,
does anyone know how to open 3.0 file on word 2003?
