How to copy Tab Delimited text to a Word Table ?

I have some text which is delimited by Tab. I want to copy and paste
into a Word Table. What happen is that I got all the text into 1 cell
instead of over a few cells delimited by the Tab.

Is there any way to achieve what I want ?

I've manage to copy the text to a excel spreadsheet and it falls
nicely into the different cells. So is it possible for me to copy
from the xls to the Word file so that the different cells in the xls
goes nicely into the Word table and fall nicely into the cells ?

Thanks very much in advance.

Yes, just highlight the cells in the spreadsheet that you want to copy, type
control-c, go to an open Word document, and press control-V. The cells will
be transformed into a table.

You don't actually need to use Excel for this by the way. In Word, highlight
the text. Click on:

Table > Convert > Text to Table

Make sure the number of columns is what you want and that the "Separate text
at tabs" option is selected. Click on OK and there you have a table.

(My experience however is that the Excel method produces better results if
the tables are complicated.)
