How to open publisher 95 file in publisher 98

I have Publisher 98. I was given a file to work on that was created in
Publisher 95.
I cannot open it, I don't understand why newer version files cannot open
older ones. Is there any help out there?

Disable McAfee, see if you can open the file then. If it doesn't open, I will convert
it for you. Earlier versions of Publisher had problems with TSR's.

I am willing to bet that the file you received was not a Publisher 95 file,
but Pub 2000, 2002, 2003. If that is the case, the sender must do a "Save
As" and change the Save As file type to Publisher 98. Then resend the file
to you.

Disabled McAfee and still did not open. The person who created the file is in
New Orleans helping and will not be available until the end of the month and
we need the piece to have it printed before he gets back.

I used to have 98 and I have a schedule in 98 that I would desparately love
to have converted to 2000. It is a simple one page document. Any advice?

Publisher 2000 can open Publisher 98 files.
