I have been trying to make our printing simple but it seems simple things are
alway difficult. We have a number of printers Xerox, HP etc. I have the same
problem with all. The Printers are set so tray 1 = letter paper size with
leadhead paper type.
Tray 2 contains letter paper size with plain paper type. I have a multi page
document here page 1 prints to tray 1 and page 2....end prints to tray 2. The
problem is that the printer thinks I am sending page 1 as plain paper, which
is some default. but how to I set word 2003 to set page 1 paper type. I can
set the page size but not the paper type to match the printer. If I change
the driver default paper type to letter head then page 2 when printed the
printer thinks tray 2 should contain letter head when the printer knows it
has plain paper in tray 2. How do I tell the printer to just use the tray
info, paper size and forget about the paper type. Or what is the best way to
setup word with the required paper type and size and let the printer figure
out what tray to use. ?
