hyperlink to a pdf document

I am trying to create a hyperlink from a graphic on my website to a pdf file
on my desktop. I know how to create a link to a URL, but I don't know what to
type to create a link to a pdf file that is saved on my desktop. My website
was created using Publisher 2003. To see exactly what I'm talking about, go
to the HELPFUL INFO page of my website, then click on the ONLINE BROCHURE icon

Hi Don, and thank you for your reply. Yep, I forgot to put the ~ in the
website. Thanks for catching that.

You can find ONLINE BROCHURE and MAP TO CONDO on the HELPFUL INFO page of
the website. http://home.comcsat.net/~sxmlady

OK, down to business.....No, I don't want to store the pdf files on my
compter, but don't know what the heck I'm doing!!! :-(

I created "brochure" using Print Shop, and "map to condo" in Word, then
converted both to pdf. Both are located in the website files on my desktop &
also in the upload comcast file. When I created a hyperlink to those
locations, it didn't work...at least not in Website Preveiw in Publisher.

I don't know how to create a folder at the I.P.---- Guess my lack of
knowledge is showing! Or maybe I do know & just don't know that I
do....UGH!!! Can you break down the steps a bit more so I get a clearer
understanding? I think I'm missing a step somewhere. I'm sure it's quite
simple, but I just ain't getting it...sorry.
