I am trying to copy a photo from Picture Manager into a word docum

Without much luck. It used to be that I could scan in and copy straight into
a Word document, but now it appears that the picture has to be compressed
which I have done but then I have problems retrieving it into the document,
because of it being the wrong format.

You should be able to drag/drop images from Picture Manager into Word .....
What format are the images? JPG,GIF or Other.....?

If the problem is occurring with all image formats then try running Detect
and Repair from the Help menu....
