I cannot save or edit msword document.

When I open the msword file that is attached to an email, I am unable to save
it. When I click on "file" and drop down to look for "save" it is not an
option. I cannot edit the document at all either. I have the 60 day trial
for Office 2003 but I can't seem to do anything with it.
