I can't click on (i.e. select) a graphic that's in my document!

hi there

i've bumped up against a little problem...

I've got a graphic (an inserted JPEG file) in my document, and in order to
have the text snug up a little closer to it, I changed the properties of the
graphic so that it is now "behind the text".

But now, I can't select it, can't click on it... HELP!!

It's almost as if the graphic has been placed under a sheet of glass, and
now it's sitting there, mocking me, "you can't select me... you can't
select me..."

All I really wanted to do was select the graphic and just nudge it to one
side a little...

Does anybody know what to do? Many thanks for your help!

Turn on the Drawing toolbar if it's not already on. On its left end,
there should be an arrow that looks like your mouse pointer. Click on
it to turn on the Select Objects pointer. Use this to draw a box
around your graphic (you know, click in one corner, hold and drag to
the opposite corner, then let go). Make the box much larger than the
graphic; you need to enclose the object entirely to select it.

Don't forget to turn off the Select Objects pointer when you're done.
Otherwise, you'll be going nuts because you can't select *text*. :)

To get the text to "snug up" to the graphic, you might want to change
the wrapping options to 'Tight'. You can also use Edit Wrap Points to
change where Word thinks the borders are. (Both of these are available
on the Picture toolbar, under the 'Text Wrapping' button, which looks
like a black dog on a background of horizontal lines.)

(This is for Word 2000. If you have a different version, you may need
to adjust these instructions, especially for the wrapping options.)
