Extremely Frustrated Amy

I've created my project. There are several groups each group has the same
amount of subtasks. I linked the first group so that if a task has a
duration of 2 days the next task can't start till the following day of the
ending of the previous task. Fine. Now I'm on to group 2. Group 2 sub task
1 can start after Group 1 sub task 1 is complete. The duration is 2 days for
both tasks. How do I link it so Group 2 can start after Group 1 sub task 1 is
complete? Each group has a total duration of 15 days.

Tasks can be linked in mulitple ways. The easiest way is to select the two
tasks by holding the control key and selecting the two tasks individually.
Then, click the link icon (looks like a chain link).
The tasks do not need to be immediately adjacent, they can be anywhere.
You did this with the other grouping, right?

THe other method would be to make mental note of the two task ID numbers.
So, you want to establish task 4 as a predecessor to task 9. Double click on
task9, pull the predecessors tab, key in the value 4 in the ID column. Click
OK.

You can read all about task linking by typing linking into the help system.
It is certainly possible to have tasks with more than one predecessor or
successor.

Another option is to insert columns for predessors and successors (2
columns), you can then key into those columns directly.

THere are other methods as well. This will get you started.
