I want all bold automatic numbering

Using 2007, I am using automatic numbering while making handouts. Some of
the numbers are bold and some are not. In 2003, I knew how to fix this so
they were all alike, but I can't find a way to do it in 2007. They are bold
when I have bolded the entire line (paragraph) of text next to them, but are
not bold if I only bold some of the text.

Select just the paragraph mark and format it as bold. Or define the numbers
as bold in the Numbering dialog.

Thanks. Selecting the paragraph mark is working for me. I had tried
changing in the dialog box, but that seemed to also mess up my other
numbering formats.

Yes, I generally advise avoiding formatting the numbers through the
numbering dialog.

JoAnn,

You should have no problem in Word 2007 bolding the numbers while
leaving the following text regular: Click the drop-down arrow next to
the Number icon and click Define New Number Format. Then go to Font and
select Bold.

This is what I regularly do and it works fine.

Thank you. I'll experiment with it.
