i want to display time and date at the task level

I want to use ms project to measure the durations of the jobs in a batch
schedule.

I want tasks to show both the day and date

I am entering the durations as time

Tools / Options / View : date Format : choose a format with 12:33 which
means hours and minutes

Did you look? IMHO this setting is for all views

May be you'll have to leave more room so that you can display hours and
minutes in the boxes (Format / Layout)
