i want to know the first start date in a number of duplicate tasks

I have a set of tasks, repeated for a number of different countires.
I can create a summary milestone showing me the last finish date of each
repeated activity, but what I'm looking for a way to create a summary
milestone that shows when the repeated activity first starts.

Hi,

If you can describe the criterion by which to group, use the grouping
feature; it makes a pseudo-summary showing start and finish of the set of
tasks grouped.

Martin,
If you already have milestones marking the last finish then a similar
process should be used to indicate the first start. Simply set up a
milestone for each group and set the Predecessor of the milestone to be
"Start-to-Start" with the first task.

thanks for your reply, I've already tried this 'SS' constraint and it
provides me with the last start date for the group of tasks, what I was
interested in was the first start date.

Did you make the dependency from the start of the milestone to the start of
the task or the other way around?
The first should work. The second will give the result you describe.
