Summary Bar Formatting

Hello, and thank you all for your previous help.

I formatted my summary bars in the gantt chart (single bar wit
milestone markers on each end) to show "completed through."

There is probably some convoluted way to make the start milestone fil
in when the roll-up tasks start, and to fill in the finish mileston
when all the roll-up tasks are complete. But I am missing it.

Any help is much appreciated

The good news is that I can't think of a convoluted to do what I think
you are asking for. I don't think it's possible.

I guess what you could do is manually change the type of milestone
marker you are using. You could also write some VBA code to automate
this change of milestone markers based on the status of the task.

FYI, I tend to leave Gantt Chart formatting to be default. I do this
because making things too bespoke and customised makes it too complicated:-

a) to do and maintain (which costs time and money), and
b) too complicated to explain to stakeholders, executives, and project
team members.

Perhaps simply putting the field [Status] to the left of the summary
task bar is simpler?
