IN AUTO TEXT THE PART THAT SAID NEW IS GRAY OUT AND I NEED TO USe

I need to use auto text and the new is gray out how do i make it so It is not
grayed out any more.

You have most likely selected a bit too much info...such as a not
printing character that AutoText won't accept. The cell marker in a
table cell is a notorious item like this.

After you make your selection, try holding down Ctrl and hitting the
<-- (left arrow) ONE time to move the selection of the last item. That
may do the trick. After you do that, try AutoText again.

By the way, to see those markers, you can toggle them on by hitting
Ctrl + Shift + 8.
