inaccessable help files in all office programs

using the help menu or the F1 key only brings up a blank
help window or no window at all. I have also noticed that
Visual Basic reacts the same for help requests. Now I have
noticed that IE 6 is doing the same. Any ideas?

My apologies for not looking close enough to see the same
problem addressed to Malcolm. I will attempt the
reregistering per kb article 822989. It appease that this
fix did not work for Malcalom; I will continue to monitor
the thread.
