Incoming Mail goes to My Folders than to Exchange

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Some of my incoming mail messages go (correctly) to the Inbox on my computer, which is labeled as being part of the 4Smartphone Exchange server. Others go to the Inbox for "Folders on My Computer". Regardless of where the incoming message lands, the message is visible on OWA. The effect of this is that I have two sets of Inboxes, and thus two sets of Deleted Items, Sent Items, etc.

This happens randomly. I've deleted and reinstalled mail settings for 4Smartphone and emptied the Exchange Inbox cache. The option for emptying the Inbox on Folders on My Computer is grayed out). I've also designated Exchange as the default mail (even though there is no other mail shown in the Accounts window).

This problem popped up a couple weeks ago, and I need to fix it soon. All suggestions welcome. Thank you in advance.

Hi Jim!

You've probably accidentally created a Mailing List Manager rule, which
is easy to do in Entourage 2004. Check under Tools --> Mailing List
Manager for any rules that could be moving your messages.

Hope this helps!

I did, in fact, find and delete a mailing list I hadn't been aware of. The dual-inbox problem has not occurred since (two days). Thanks!
