insert multiple pictures / batch images

I have 300 images that I would like to put into a PowerPoint presentation.
1.)How can I can I inset the 300 pictures as a batch so I don't have to
insert each one separately. 2.) Also can I create a new slide and at the same
time I insert the picture so I can save a step?

PowerPoint 2002 and 2003 have Insert > Picture > Photo Album. That will do the
trick.
