Inserted excel files into publisher document (printing problems)

I have imbedded some excel files (charts, graphs, etc.) into a publisher
document. The files are linked to the original excel file so that they will
automatically update when the document is opened. The formatting and
everything looks great. However, when I print the document, the excel grids
are printed. The gridlines are not set up to print in the original .xls
file. Does anyone know how I can keep the gridlines from printing?
