Inserted Pictures into Powerpoint (2003) & they appear blank

Inserted Pictures into Powerpoint (2003) & they appear blank but do appear in
slide show. Also happens with inserted word art.

Inserted Pictures into Word, Oulook etc seem to work okay

Have you installed Service Pack 1? Check your version under Help-->About
PowerPoint. If it doesn't say you have it, then do Help--> Check for Updates
and follow the prompts on the website.
