inserted text when

when I copy and paste a whole block of text into a document with tracked
changes I sometimes want to take out parts of that pasted text but the box
hovering over the inserted text shows all the original text. For reasons of
client confidentiality I do not want the person to whom I am sending the
tracked changed document to see that. How can I switch it off?
