Inserting a graphic with a transparent background and preserving the transparancy

I'm trying to insert a graphic created in PS which has a transparent
background, into a textbox which has a grey fill colour as a background.

When I insert the image, the image's background is white. Can someone help?

Regards

Julian

Not all versions of Word support transparent backgrounds, and then only in
GIF pictures, I believe.

Hi Julian,

In Word, you may want to try applying the 'transparency tool'
from the picture toolbar to an already inserted graphic as
well.
