inserting pictures in word. When i am inserting pictures it is not inserting
them directly below the picture i have just inserted. It is putting it on new
page with each picture i insert. How can i solve this problem? .
thank you
in advance

Insert smaller pictures! The picture if inserted in-line (the install
default) will only stay on the same page if there is sufficient space for
it. Objects cannot span pages. You could insert a (borderless) table of
suitable size and fixed cell dimensions and the picture will adapt to the
width of the cell, or you could resize the images to allow two to fit on the
page.

but in college the pictures are the same size and go directly below the
picture they are using 2003 and i am using 2007 i dont know if that makes a
difference

how can i change the default size of pictures and is it wise to do so. Is it
easy to change back.

The difference could be attributable to the margins. A small increase in
margin size would reduce the available space.
Word 2007 handles graphics differently from Word 2003. Try saving the
document as Word 97-2003 format.

I would leave the pictures at their initial size and either resize in Word
or restrict the size with table cells.
