Inserting same text in every cell of column

How do you insert a letter after or before a line of text
for each cell in a column? I'd like to put a (p)before a
phone number and a (f) before a fax number for a list of
these numbers. Thanks.

gi, here is one way, with you phone numbers in column A, in another column
put ="p"&A1 and copy down, then copy and paste special valves over your
original data in column A, then delete the formulas

Format, cells, custom, choose a positive/negative format such as
#,##0_);(#,##0) then add a P or an F like the following (don't forget the
semi-colon) ;F @
