Are all the slides in the same file? If so, you should be able to select
multiple slides by multi-selecting the slides from each file. (Multi-select:
Shift click to select a range of slides, control click to select
non-contiguous slides.) If there is one slide in each file you want to pull,
then - Yes, you will need to do them one at a time.
You might find the interface easier to use if instead of looking at the
slide thumbnails on the Insert--> Slides from Files interface, you change to
the list view for the file. To do this, find the two buttons on the right
side of the interface just below the "Find Presentation" area. the button
with the three shapes that look like a chain sets the view to the
thumbnails. the button to its right sets it to a list of slides with a
thumbnail/preview for the most recently selected slide.
