Installing Office 2000 Pro for All Users

B

Bill

I need to know how to install applications in Windows 2000
Pro and Windows XP Pro for all users, instead of having to
reinstall and or reconfigure it for each user. Can anyone
tell me how to do it?

Thanks,
Bill

As far as I know, Office 2000 Pro can be, by default, used by all users.

Configuration is another story since it is associated with each user's
profile.

So what is wrong with used by all users? Some users cannot see Office 2000
Pro when they logged into the system as other users can?

You can create an administrative install point on your
server with the ideal configuration you normally install
as the standard for your workplace.

You can then run the setup program from each machine and
use the command line extension to install without
prompting (see the Knowledge Base on Microsoft Office's
main site). I think there may also be a way to run a
script that will check each PC when a user logs on and
run the install program automatically if a copy is not
found.
