Is there a way to "lock" a presentation from other users editing?

I'm trying to avoid jpeg'ing each slide so users/viewers don't alter or
delete text, graphs, or anything else on each slide. Do you have a "save as"
solution?

Depends on your version of PowerPoint.

Choose File | Save As. In the "save as type" dropdown box in the Save As
dialog, choose an image type. You can select JPG, but I usually prefer
PNG -- it seems to make crisper text than the JPG conversion does.
